Laura & Richard
Laura and Richard were married at Dorset Party Farm. Dorset Party Farm is a stunning rural wedding venue perfect for outdoor weddings. It is a working farm for most of the year and for 6-8 times a year turns into one of my favourite venues for a festival style wedding with camping or glamping facilities for the whole wedding.
Their ceremony was held in an outdoor area in the woods at Dorset Party Farm. It was a beautiful woodland ceremony that had a very intimate feel, sat on hay bails sipping champagne under the protection of the trees. An intimate woodland wedding and the perfect place for the I do’s. There were lots of tears and alot of laughter during the whole day, these guys didn’t hold back!
They chose Dorset Party Farm as a venue because it is a beautiful blank canvas. Space to let your hair down and freedom to party until the sun comes up again. Lauras dress was Catherine Deane stylish, modern and classy, worn with her grandmothers vintage pearl clutch bag, a pair of red Raybans and a hair clip covered in dried flowers to match the boutonnières of the bridal party. The silk bridesmaids dresses were from Topshop Unique, quirky and stunning.
Their wedding was filled with personal touches, the tipi was packed with DIY decorations, from origami swans, to potted flowers for their centre pieces and every pole on the tipi was covered in flowers and little fairy lights. It was so stunning lit up at night, all cozy inside while the party went on into the small hours.
This wedding was intimate, laid back and chic and reflected them as a couple. It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with them and their families.
Ellen! What can we possibly say… I’m not sure if this is the place to leave reviews or not. We were utterly blessed to have you as our photographer on the day. You were warm, calm, fun and most definitely patient. Neither Dicky or I really like having our photo taken and we were a bit apprehensive about having a photographer at all. I am so glad we did. It was important to us both to have people we liked, with good energy, and we thought about that with everyone we worked with (which was a lot given the DIY nature of our wedding!) You were a real joy to be around. You captured so many special moments throughout the day – ones I wouldn’t have seen, remembered or ones I can now relive and treasure! I’m sure we were not the easiest bunch to work with, you were a big part of making the day go smoothly. We were thrilled with the photographs, they capture the real story of the day, the expressions of our friends and family are priceless. I know there would have been a lot of work involved due to the quality of your work. Anyone would be mad not to want to work with you. Thank you Ellen – words don’t seem to be enough!
